The “Empower Her” program is designed to transform power dynamics and enhance the autonomy of women and girls by expanding their choices and strengthening their voices. This initiative aims to address the systemic barriers that limit women's and girls' access to information, resources, and opportunities, thereby empowering them to take control of their lives and futures.

The mission of “Empower Her” is to foster an environment where women and girls can confidently express themselves, access education, and explore career opportunities. By providing a trauma-informed, culturally inclusive, and gender-responsive curriculum, the program seeks to support women in overcoming societal and personal challenges and achieving their full potential.

TRAUMA-INFORMED, CULTURALLY INCLUSIVE CURRICULUM

  1. Curriculum Focus: The program offers a social-emotional learning curriculum that addresses trauma and cultural context while promoting self-expression and empowerment.

  2. Gender-Responsive Space: Participants are provided with a safe environment that respects gender-specific needs and challenges.

WORKSHOPS AND MENTORSHIP
 

  1. Education and Business Skills Training: Workshops will focus on imparting essential business skills and education, aimed at improving income opportunities and life conditions for women in poverty.

  2. Monetary Resources Access: Providing access to microfinance loans, savings accounts, and other financial resources to help women become economically independent.

  3. Decision-Making Participation: Encouraging women to be involved in decision-making processes that affect their lives and communities.

WORKSHOP CONTENT
 

  1. Community Building: Fostering a sense of belonging and collective strength.

  2. History and Power Dynamics: Exploring the historical context of oppression and personal/group empowerment.

  3. Self-Esteem and Assertiveness: Building confidence and self-advocacy skills.

  4. Gender Inequality and Violence Awareness: Education on gender inequality, sexual violence, and safety.

  5. Support Systems and Leadership: Creating support networks and developing leadership skills within communities.

MEET-UPS AND GROUP ACTIVITIES

  1. Community Engagement: Organizing group meet-ups to strengthen communal ties and support networks.

  2. Skill Development: Training in conflict resolution, group decision-making, and community organizing.

IN-PERSON ENGAGEMENT
 

  1. Trust Building: Establishing trust and fostering a sense of autonomy and ownership among participants.

  2. Vision Communication: Clearly articulating the program’s benefits and objectives to encourage active participation and collaboration.

EVALUATION AND DOCUMENTATION

  1. Mixed-Methods Approach: Utilizing both qualitative and quantitative methods to measure empowerment outcomes.

  2. Results Chain: Linking program inputs, activities, outputs, and desired impacts to assess effectiveness.

  3. Indicators and Data Collection: Developing relevant indicators and selecting appropriate methods for data collection and analysis to evaluate progress and impact.

SCOPE OF THE PROJECT

In-Scope Components, The program includes workshops, mentorship, community meet-ups, and in-person engagements. Each component is designed to address different aspects of empowerment and leadership development.
